electricityMap is hiring an Energy markets and carbon accounting lead to establish electricityMap as a reference for carbon accounting, and thereby accelerate the transition to a low-carbon energy system. You will be joining a mission-driven team with a mature product, ready to establish a clear leadership profile in the climate-tech industry.
Our mission at electricityMap is to organise the world’s electricity data to drive tangible reductions in carbon emissions. electricityMap started as a popular open-source project 5 years ago and is now used every day by companies, universities, NGOs, and policy makers around the world to understand and reduce the climate impact of electricity.
We’ve recently participated in the launch of the UN 24/7 Carbon-free Energy Compact. Furthermore, the Renewable Energy Directive is getting revised and we’re involved in designing hourly energy certificates at EnergyTag. The time is ripe for establishing more granular carbon accounting standards which represent the physical reality more accurately, as described in our recent white-paper.
We’re experiencing a rapidly increasing interest from large organisations and are therefore looking to grow our team to harness this windfall.
You will be part of our international team based in Copenhagen.
Your mission at electricityMap will be to lead our interaction with key external stakeholders in order to advocate for more granular and meaningful measurement of electricity emissions, ultimately establishing electricityMap as the reference for the granular accounting of carbon emissions.
The geographical focus is Europe and USA.
What you will do:
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We can’t wait to hear from you!
